Mrs KKOB and myself were enjoying a drink or 3 in the Tequila Bar in Oludeniz a few years ago when there was a bit of a strange moment. An oldish fella with long blonde curly hair had just walked in and everybody, except me, seemed to be staring at him. He sat at the bar and ordered a drink and it was obvious from all the nudging and whispering going on around the bar that he was somebody special. I asked Mrs KKOB what the fuss was all about and she told me the fella at the bar was none other than Robert Plant. Now, be a lifelong non-fan of Led Zeppelin, that meant absolutely nothing to me.
It turned out that he owned a villa on the top of the hill in Oludeniz and was a regular visitor to the Tequila Bar and a good friend of the staff.
A little while later when it was getting near to closing time he was sitting in the back of the bar giving Barabas, one of the barmen, some tips on guitar playing. I asked if it would OK to take some photos to which he readily agreed and Barabas ended up with a unique record of his "guitar lessons from a rock legend".
