Wow!  Menthol that looks amazing.  :o

I'm with Toky and bluwise - not the slightest bit jealous  ;D  ;)

Enjoy every bit of it.

Thanks everyone. It is indeed a very beautiful house and the build was very carefully overseen by the previous owners. And that care shows.

We are currently living in the bodrum (basement apartment) which is warmer and importantly has some furniture in it!

We have so far bought very little for it. I want to get a feel for it first. And also have a good look round at furniture options. I'll be back after this trip very shortly with the 'serious buying squad' I.e my Mum and daughter.

I will have a house warming party at some stage, but Bernie and Martyn will be glad to hear that I won't be doing the cooking ......

I'm driving round Fethiye like a mad Turkish driver as well and we went to Faralya for the first time yesterday (there's a test for driving nerves if ever there was one). Jav fell head over heels in love with the beauty of the area round there. It really is quite something to see those little houses clinging to the mountainside and the cliffs into the turquoise waters below.

Lovely house, congratulations, hope you will be extremely happy there.  Don't worry about furniture, lots of great places to buy it around Fethiye, and much cheaper than the U.K.

I'm not surprised that Jav fell head over heals in love with the Faralya area.  I did as well, I think the scenery is is just spectacular and it is so peaceful.

A couple of nice places to spend a few hours are The Lazy Lizard at Faralya and the Olive Tree at Kabak. Nice to go for lunch and chill.

I hope Turkey is ready for this……...  ;)

There's certainly plenty of room for us all to crash out after the house-warming....  ;D

I've been away from the CBF for a while and it's great to catch up on news. Double Wow and many congrats, Menthol! Can't believe that you and OH are already moving in! The house is magnificent - all those lovely big walls awaiting your chosen artwork (or mine if you're very nice to me  ;)). Wish we were over there right now so we could make the trip there and say Ahhh in person. Enjoy your wonderful new Turkish home! We've never been to Ovacik, but it's on our list, especially a certain beautiful villa.

Agree totally about Sule. She is still working on our case re the Tapu - no Tapu yet  :'( BUT we now have independent electricity and are no longer reliant on Deska - all ties with them are cut. Our next big hope is that the road outside the villa will be finally be finished and paved.

Can't come in May as hoped. We'll have to wait until September - we have booked 2 weeks from 2nd. If you're there at that time, we must try to meet up - ditto for any other folk from the CBF - look forward to meeting you too.
