I hope you are right about the furniture, Jacqui.

We are having lunch in the Address bar and then going to have a look at some furniture shops on the main highway, just to get an idea.

Rebecca you are welcome to crash anytime  :)

Marcia- I have found a place that sells box canvases and paints and I would love some of your art on my walls!

It is such a gorgeous day here today and was yesterday 22c and so sunny. Heaven is here. X

Magnificent villa. You should therefore name it "Aston Villa".

Methol,  There is a big shop with about 3 or 4 floors on the opposite side to Eren Spot walking into Fethiye and away from the Market.  They have lots of furniture for every room of the house including white goods.  We got some things from them and did a bit of haggling, they, of course, delivery for free.
The shop we bought our sofas from was in the one way street opposite the Mulberry Tree, but we noticed a sign in the window that they had moved.  If you find them, they had some lovely furniture. We picked two sofas, got the price down and they delivered within the hour.  They also said we could pick another colour and they would order it up and it would take 2 weeks.  Amazing when I think my son and his wife ordered a suite in Aberdeen and have to wait 4 months for delivery.

The house will be called Villa Riana after my daughter and I will be having a wrought iron sign made. My husband reckons the sign should be neon so people can find us as we are so far up the hill.

My sons wanted to call it Wednesday Villa, however, I wouldn't want the bad luck associated with it. I quite like the name Aston but of course it won't happen.

We just bought a TV and stand from Eren Spot Jacqui, well actually that's not strictly true - we mentioned we wanted a TV to Sule and a 42" Samsung was fitted and working within the hour on a nice new stand from Eren Spot. Unbelievable.

We've also had workmen to unclog a drain pipe. It was blocked with pine cones. Again, all sorted within a day. Magic.

Picked up our 3 year residencies today from the harbour police. And should have internet in place just before we fly back on Tuesday.

I'm sure this won't last and Ill be on here cursing quite soon.

Thanks, Angela but it does feel like something has to fail soon.

I'm even driving round Fethiye like a local (not quite like a local, I still indicate and give way to pedestrians) something I felt sure I would be far too scared to do. I'm doing all the driving to get used to it and Jav is the one holding on to the dashboard with white knuckles and a mantra of 'you're too close TO THE RIGHT!!'.

Can't believe how nice the weather is again today, it said 24c on the barometer thingy on Fethiye Kordon. But the clock above it currently has 4 different times showing .....

Big purchase today? A clothes airer for 19 lira. The other one collapsed. But all the clothes dried within a couple of hours outside on the terrace. Doesn't take much to keep me happy.
