I believe that the chances of the imminent local elections being fairly conducted are remote indeed.
Out of curiosity, when do you believe (in TR) any elections in recent years have been conducted fairly?
JF
Your question is very interesting JF, but not pertinent at the present time, as elections in in the past are just that, in the past. The result of the upcoming elections, if Erdogan's party comes out as victors, are going to mean a total "sea-change" in the way that Turkey, and it's people are politically, legally, and religiously, governed.
Another way to answer your question; how can we , in our own country, be assured that the results of any elections held in the U.K. are beyond reproach ?? If you, or anyone else, is naive enough to believe that the present method of accounting for a true result in our voting system is infallible, and not open to "massaging" of the figures, dream on !!
