A party of 6 of us went there on Friday early evening for a quick bite, we chose from the 10tl menu and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. 5 of us chose the Meatball Iskender and it was truly delicious, we shall definitely be going again.

Thinking about it Jacqui you are right...I shouldn't dismiss a place without good reason so I ought to try it out for myself ;)  Heaven knows there have been many times I have recommended places to others and they have not enjoyed them but we still continue to...

We will give it another try, just avoid the steak. The two previous times the food was good especially the iskender.

We went for tea last night I had the Iskender very nice. The key to this place is to go at the right time service is slow when they are busy 5.45pm last night only us in.

I must say the idea of cubes of bread covered in Doner meat and tomato sauce with a big dollop of natural yoghurt on top does sound pretty awful. But it is a favourite of mine and a daughter loves it too  :)

There was no one in there when we passed at about 10pm either.

My introduction to Turkish food about 25 years ago on a trip to Kusadasi was Iskender kebab. It was the days when you went into the kitchen to point to what you wanted. It was our first trip to Turkey, me and my 2 daughters, and we didn't have a clue, we were served the huge puffed up bread, followed by Iskender kebabs and it was divine, and remains my favourite Turkish dish to this day.
