We have benn several times now and the food is excellent. Also really godd value for money - 10tl for a choice of about 15 main courses and 25tl for a litre of very drinkable white wine. I believe they cook all the food fresh, which is why the service may appear slow, but certainly worth the wait.

Prepared to bet £20 - loser to pay to local charity of choice Mark?    :)

I was agreeing with you, but showing you something was wrong on the internet.  ;D  ;)

'Slow service' didn't mean waiting for lovely food to be cooked.
It meant waiting to be 'acknowledged' - they are just so unaware of their customers,
from when you arrive to when you want another drink - its like they are blind !!!

Agreed. The last time we were there we had to ask three times for a second bottle of wine. It took ten minutes for someone to take the drinks order when we arrived and a further thirty minutes before the food order was taken. It was not particularly busy and there were plenty of staff but totally disorganised.
The food however was, as always, excellent.
They really need to get their waiting staff trained up or replaced...

Just returned from there. Was sat down and asked for drinks order immediately, had to ask for a couple of minutes to get our brain into gear. Then given menu, was obvious that the serving staff had been given instructions to act swiftly . Could not  fault the service and attention to empty glasses and , obviously finished meals. Top class at ridiculously low prices would I go again absolutely. First class attention, good value and delicious!

Everyone reads the forum. Especially the ones that insist the most that they don't. They never read it but know exactly what is being discussed on it :D

We tried this place on our recent trip and whilst I agree it is good value for money was not that impressed, it could have done with a good sweep up outside and the service was quite slow probably would not go back...

Going on last nights experience, they seem to have turned themselves around, karenina, good luck to them. It is good to see a business taking on board comments from their customers. I wish them luck in their venture.
