Had anybody ever carried a 3 ltr wine box over in suitcase ( hold luggage ) ?  Not sure about any changes in pressure? Would it survive the trip or am I looking at clothes soaked in an nice Pinot Grigio!!

We have done it a few times without any problems. The hold is not pressurised so no problems there!

Yep several times. Wrapped it in one of those zip up plastic bags we got when I bought some new bedding. No problems whatsoever and the bag came in handy to bring dirty washing back.

Yes we have lot's of times with out problems. These day's have found alternative wine in Turkey.

I have never found a 3ltr box of wine that I liked.  We have found wine we like in Turkey now...Anyway 3ltrs in a suitcase equals quite a few pairs of shoes and dresses.

I would hope that the hold IS pressurised or the bag might POP !!!!
(and our two dogs are travelling over 'in the hold' on October !!!!)

A hell of a lot cheaper than buying it at duty free as we discovered one year, so long as you have the space in your luggage. Some really lovely wines now on offer in the large party packs, in the supermarkets in the Uk and some equally dismal wines for sale in Turkey!

When we first came 11 years ago the wine was undrinkable. Things have improved a hell of lot since then but they still have a way to go.

It's just it would be nice to have a box in the fridge to have a couple of glasses on the balcony before we set out for the evening.

I feel a trip to the supermarkets coming on!
