How is work along the canal coming on?

From what I have briefly seen of it today, a lot of stone work has been put in place with what seems like in one place a narrow channel in one area of the canal.  There are also blue painted rails from a bridge leading up the canal towards the part of Calis where the road leads to the centre and another bridge near the water taxi.

Have to say not impressed with the canal works. Money could have been much better spend on improving the footpaths and lighting along the main road from the Dolphin roundabout to th Sevi Hotel. Also much of the natural wildlife habitat has been destroyed. Saw two young turtles on a dumped suitcase in the canal by the Pelin Hotel today.

DSI are still working on the kanal near us, that runs down to the Hotel Pelin.  I think the contractors are probably doing enough to satisfy their contract, after a two month shutdown. So slow!! And the roads are still in a terrible state, made worse as they dig out the bottom of the kanal, using caterpillar tracked excavators, ready for concreting.  The first stage being to pile the mud from the bottom of the canal along the road, and so block it off, and then it gets blocked off again as the concrete pumps and concrete mixers do their bit, including making the road worse.  And do not get me started on the consequent dust problems. Hi We live near Adrenalin Village , The canal has been done and railings going in , does anyone know if they are planning so the boats will run up this far ? I i know the bridge further down is low , but wondered if it was going to be raised in the future ?

no it's not been done, see my post above, the canal has not been finished on the bottom, and there are no railings either installed or stacked ready for installation, on either side of the canal running up to the adrenalin. And the road remains a mess, which is why the staff/people from the adrenalin taking diversion through our road, unfortunately usually too fast!!
