my neighbor gets boar from a farmer who shoots them in the forest a bit tough stick to pork or beef

If you're cooking a joint it needs to be done very, very slowly.

 Boar meat is like eating tough under cooked pork and it is richer in taste.Had it few times in France but its not my fav.Pork every time.
