I see it as our problem. They don't want to stay in France because they don't get welcomed with open arms by the benefits agency.
We should send them all back.
Firstly, we need to catch them first to send them anywhere. Secondly, where is "back" ? do you mean France? Not much point sending them there, or do you mean their country of origin, so we then pay their airfares back to, say, Africa, but this is not the immediate method we us, because when they are caught they are sent to holding centres in the U.K. where it may take years to process them. They will say they cannot go because of political situations in their countries. So they will claim asylum, this means they will probably be allowed to stay in the U.K.
I also think it very unfair the way the lorry drivers are fined heavily if they are caught with these people in their lorries. The lorry drivers are receving no help from the French authorities who are standing back and watching as these migrants are breaking into lorries in broad daylight and also threatening drivers with knives.
The French just want rid of these people and are happy to see them jumping on lorries and getting away from France.
If people want to travel thousands of miles to eventually come to Britain illegally, why is this our problem?
