Thank you Fran that is brilliant so the only sort of expensive cost is the purchasing of the gadget after that the price sounds great for the topping up..

Karen, as I put in another posting our gadget was £60.00 fitted and it costs 35 TL per month.  We can use our Ipads etc., and attach the computer to the T.V. and watch the British Programmes.  When we are away the  montly WIFI fee does not have to be paid for, we just pay for the time we are there.

Thanks Jacqui we are going to look in to it, I have hated being internetless indoors this trip, I havecjust been in to TTNET to see if we could get a router for our complex but apparantly you need residency which no one has...

Fran Do you have to wait til the 3 months is up before topping up??  Our 10 gb only lasts around 6 weeks We left after that so didn't try to top up but would be interested to know thx

You can top up any time, i use Garanti internet banking and it's done in minutes

If you buy a dongle or a MiFi the method is basically the same for checking the remaining allowance.

In the address bar (where you type www.bbc.co.uk) type 192.168.1.1 or it maybe 192.168.0.1 depending on the manufacturer.

You should then see the home page for the devices settings it. The user name is normally admin. The password is also normally admin. Click enter then you are in. A whole host of options will come up one which will be called statistics or similar the details will be in there.

Will have a go at posting screen shots later. Depending on whether I can get it to work in the UK.

After much deliberation and hearing my neighbours feedback I have decided to purchase one of these little gadgets when I'm over next month...do the Ttnett shops have them in stock or would I need to contact them and order one also is it just your passport you need to have with you re any documents that are required thanks  :)
