Maybe there's a global rallying cry - they were out in numbers in Bovey Tracey, Devon yesterday.

We live one third of a mile up a farm lane which is has no tarmac and there is no lighting. The benefit is, we don't get any travelling salemen, no cold callers no guisers at Halloween and no carol singers.  However, about every five years amazingly, we do get Jehovah's Witnesses, who, if we are out put leaflets through the door and always come back the next day.

P.S Bovey Tracey,  The home of Wemyss from the 1930"s.   See much of Brian Adams?? (not the singer)

Sorry Jacqui - no idea of the other Brian Adams.

Had heard of the pottery though.

Ever the antique dealer, eh?

They have been to my house, twice!  The first time was some weeks ago and they left a leaflet for me to read, the second was the day before yesterday when they came to check that I had read it!  They were rather sweet and were not overly pushy.

I had a visit once. Showed him into the living room and told him to take a seat. I then asked what do we do now and he said he did not know because no-one had ever invited him in before.
