We are booked but our friends have decided not to come even though they have paid for the flights! So sad.

Well, it looks like every cloud has a silver lining.

Our oldest daughters University course was under threat due to funding issues - on Friday just gone it was announced that funding is now guaranteed for a further five years.

Her course...  Central and Eastern European Studies with Russian.

An impressive bit of forward thinking by whatever funding council allocates the funds.

We aren't hesitating on Turkey next year. Flights are booked for May and then July for an 8 week summer stay. I'd only not go if UK Government said don't travel there and I'd only hesitate if I thought I could get flights cheaper by waiting. Trying to predict where any terrorist organisation may or may not hit is beyond my crystal ball - as I've found to my cost by trying to predict lottery results! Sadly security measures will be stepped up everywhere - we went to the theatre in London on Saturday and had a guy wave a metal detector in our general direction. Wherever you look to book is a risk, terrorists look to see where they can cause the most chaos and maybe Turkey has enough chaos of its own at the moment. I'm getting the suncream, the hat and the sunglasses ready for a summer of sunshine rather than a summer of hiding indoors.

We will be out in May & all summer, if people stay away, then they have won part of the battle, from a personal point they are NOT interfering with my hols   :)  :)  :)
And only signed for my villa in Oct. I will never get any use out of it if I don't go  :D
