nah, My only concern is getting over the Lancashire border a week tomorrow for my TC flight to Antalya and then over the hills to Fethiye.

Let me know which entrance you are using for entry in to Lancs, so we can post extra guards at the door  ;D ;D ;D ;D

If you came to a beach resort town in Turkey, enjoyed yourself, and didn't read the newspaper or the news stories on the internet, would you even notice any difference?

You might if half the hotels and restaurants had closed down due to economic hardship. Why does everyone seem to think this is about terrorism?

Turkish media suggesting it was a pipe bomb, and only minor injuries.

This looks more like a transformer blowing up than a pipe bomb - maybe we're all (everyone, media included) jumping to the obvious, and potentially mistaken, conclusion.  Bear in mind, it was adjacent to the metro line.

Yep, looks exactly like a transformer going up - wonder if Reg will decide it should be a bomb so he can blame some group or other.

It seems that some people are definitely worried about the situation in Turkey - I've had 2 booking cancelled for my villa for next summer!  When they see horrific news on the TV or in the papers, they assume all of Turkey is affected.
