Sadly I'm out, I've been trying to talk the OH into booking again for this year but she has been adamant that she won't go , I've been trying to use all my persuasive charms on her and got no where and with things like this happening on a sadly more frequent basis I have no chance of changing her mind

Well we are still going (at the moment) but I think our planned trip to Istanbul might be delayed a while.

We have recently come back from Spain and lost count of the number of people talking about Turkey and saying how dangerous it is now... Whether we like it or not this is the perception... Someone said to us "ooh. You must be so happy to be out of there now?" .. We also bumped into 2 Calis residents and another couple who frequently holiday in Ovacik and Olu Deniz.. They are giving it a miss to see how things "pan out".

We are coming as it stands but it cannot be denied that this was an attack on tourists and the Turkish tourism industry.

If that continues I won't pay to bring my family into danger. Much as we value our week in Calis, I am responsible for their safety, and for providing a relaxed holiday.

I do not want to feel relieved when I get off a dolmus in one piece.
