We're back on track after thomson cancelled our 10 holiday. We have now booked our own flights and rooms direct with hotel.
Thomson  kindly gave us a quote for flight only for 10 days for 13 of us, around about £6.500.. Considering they couldn't  fulfil our original holiday with them not bad, but we declined and booked flights direct with Thomascook 13 flights and 9 suitcases £1900.
So now on countdown

We usonally go for the baggage and seat option (Essentials). 22kg +10kg hand luggage and seats, bugger the cost ;-)

We go a week tomorrow at 6-15am from Leeds. No changes as yet. Fingers crossed.

They can cancel that flight for me Stoop, the return will be our flight home. :'(   Don't think we'll be that lucky though!   :(

Terrorist threat levels have been increased from "moderate" to "substantial". This means an attack is "a strong possibility". This threat level is for Great Britain (i.e. England, Scotland and Wales) but refers to Northern Ireland related terrorism. Will we be safer over in Turkey?

ISIL, PKK, Police Brutality, Migrants in Transit, the list goes on. Will it put you off visiting in 2016?

I thought I would bump this back up and share a link to a forum that my hubby uses, it is not a holiday forum, but none the less they express opinions on holidaying in Turkey.

They aren't my opinions but valid opinions all the same.

I think this will give a wider view of opinions and concerns from those who just use Travel forums.

For us, even after yesterdays tragic events we will still be visiting Bodrum in July.
