Maybe I'm over-confident thinking we'll be safe in Fethiye/Calis, but I shall certainly go to my property twice this year if things don't escalate. However its definitely putting friends off visiting me. I'm concerned about the only ones that are who have booked to return with a few days in Istanbul. I don't think I'd be going there myself.

we're booked for June & August but are becoming more wary as more incidents occur. Usually in Calis twice a year for the last 15 years or so; first went there 1995 but the place is changing for the worse and any major incidents in any holiday resort in Turkey and we'll cancel. Family would be too precious to risk...

I have booked end of July for 2weeks with my boys, 18,16 & 13. It will be there first time in Calis since buying our Apartment last year and we are all excited. My boys have heard so much about Calis from me. I'm praying everything will be fine.

We are still going to Calis in May with two friends, but it would be totally foolish to ignore what is happening. I love Calis and will continue to go until advised not to by our government, or the bombings and terrorist attacks escalate.  :(

Well what has just happened (sadly) in Brussels this morning, just goes to prove to me what I have always thought, that no matter where you are bombings can happen - its not just Turkey.  At the moment London is on the highest alert, that a similar event as Paris could happen there.  What are we to do, never leave home, bombings can happen anywhere in the world, nowhere is really safe anymore, especially against suicide bombers, but we can't let the terrorists win.  So I reckon Calis is as safe as anywhere at the moment and unless the Foreign Office tell us otherwise myself and my sister will be there in Sept/Oct.  I know not everyone will agree with my sentiments, but that is how I feel.

I still can't believe anyone can walk into check-in with a bomb in their case. Dalaman and Chiang Mai (so I assume all their respective airports) have security at the airport entrance.

Ok it might not stop someone blowing the entrance up but it would make sure that a busy check-in is not an easy target.

The U.K. have to implement this ASAP.

You're just making assumptions Stoop. Who's said that the bombers walked in through the front entrance with a case ? They could quite easily have been cleaners, airline or airport staff etc with security clearance. Let's just see what transpires evidence wise instead of speculating eh ?

Well it's looking that way ... And with guns too by all accounts. Shots fired prior to the explosions and Arabic slogans shouted. It's also been confirmed that there is no security at the entrance.

Many are saying we need to move security to the entrances. Maybe an assumption but a bloody realistic one KKOB.

The UK are now warning to expect delays at all UK airports due to increased security, and Bristol Airport will be closed

until mid day tomorrow.  BBC News.
