They sell for around  £35 to  £45  at the Car Boots I go to Badger, and seem to sell well.       :)

Ramos on the Calis front, good quality fakes starting from around £35. He's been there for years and has a very reliable after sales service. Several of our friends have had watches from him and have been very impressed.....

If you're still around for the auctions, we have 2 men's "Rolex" watch lots, check out the photos in the 3C's section. Both were donated by Ramos who is a top bloke when it comes to doanting lots for the auction

A friend of ours in Scotland bought a Tag and spent £160.00 on it.  The glass all clouded up.  We offered to take it back to a shop in Hisaronu.  I think it was called Harvey Nicks.  The guy changed the watch for another one.  He was very nice.  In fact the next time we went over I took him an Auction Catalogue for Rolex watches etc., with price guides, which I had been sent through my business.  I promised him this and he was pleased to see me come back with it.

The majority of watches here are poor quality Chinese fakes ,which is where the majority of fake watches are made. The ones that Ramos sells are at the lower end of that scale.Fethiye watch centre do higher quality but you are not going to get anything decent or even close to the gen article for £100.
Best thing is for your friend to do a bit research on the Internet ,find a trusted dealer and expect to pay around £350 for a good quality submariner.
Don't believe anyone in Turkey that tells you they are Swiss movements, they are not.More likely to be Chinese 21j,hand wind seagull,Japanese miyota or sellita ,all good but not Swiss.

I overheard a customer asking a trader recently whether the watch would still be waterproof after

changing the battery. The trader told him he couldn't be sure in deep water.!

Agree with the above.  Knew a guy in Istanbul a few years back who imported fake watches (Rolex, Omega & TAG mainly) from Hong Kong - different "grades" of fakes were available but the closest any of them came to having a Swiss movement was when a factory worker had a dump after eating a toblerone.

Never seen the point of them to be honest - if you want a Rolex, save up your pennies and buy one.

Also, there are very good secondhand watches in Auctions.  A company in Knightbridge have regular watch auctions and a lot of the watches still have the original paperwork.
Auctions are very good places to pick up geniune Rolex watches.

Buy a decent second hand one.

I have a tag 2000 auto I bought in the USA for about £500 some 16 years ago. It still works fine and even after spending £200 on two services it works out a great buy.

They are still selling for £400 on eBay in good condition.

Had fakes before and they are pretty poor tbh.
