Yes Dycedon ,Lance is entitled to his opinion, but it does seem that some members are way over the top in defending this cafe and i can fully understand Lance being miffed.i agreed with a lot that Lance said, and when i said it wasnt the cleanest ,it wasnt about the dog ,it was about dirty marks from previous meals still on the plates we were given and yes i did point it out.
Before jumping on members comments ,please notice that neither myself or Lance are frequent critics of cafes.By the way i dont know Lance.

I have never eaten anywhere in Calis so am not qualified to comment on individual establishments. However,if I had been charged a fiver for a "small" prawn cocktail containing a few warm prawns I would have felt, like Lance, ripped off and he should be allowed to say so.As regards the dog issue I dont think they should be allowed in eating areas for a variety of reasons.Smokers are banned.!!!    :)

well stated Kevin 3. prices are on the increase this due in part to landlords upping the rent year in year out. what do other resturant owners think about this. and I agree with no dogs near food.

Ronzeus just stating MY opinion about members maybe going a little over the top on some subjects, never used the cafe in question, too far to walk for a start.

That`s nothing compared with what Mr & Mrs scunner, Mrs Crabbit & myself have witnessed on one of the sunday market pancake stalls.
Pick one and roll.

It tasted awful, I didn`t realise there was orange peel in the recipe and I can`t stand the stuff.   :D

Just to put this £5.00 prawn cocktail into perspective, modern comfortable pubs in my area in the midlands are currently offering the following.Main meals including steaks £2.50 and £299.Two main meals and two drinks £8.99.Two main meals and choice of either two starters or two desserts £9.99.I complained about one steak at a pub last year. The manager apologised and invited us back at a time to suit us and gave us two 3 course meals plus two drinks. All on the house. That's service.
