'British nationals can also apply for residence visa while in Turkey. They need to apply to the nearest police headquarters after their 90 Days sticker type visa obtained at the border gate expires.'

This is on the Turkish Embassy website.  Surely they mean BEFORE the tourist visa expires?

That's confusing Peecee as I thought it was before your visa ran out as you did. My understanding is that as long as you have applied before your visa expires you are covered and will not get the fines etc.

No chance whatsoever of getting one unless you are married to a Turk !  A single person or a Brit married couple's application will never be approved  Correct me if I am wrong - I would love to know anyone British with no Turkish connection or kids in school here has citizenship !  :(

There are a few British people I know, not married to a TC or with kids who have got citizenship, but I believe the process and the tests are much more difficult.

There are an English couple living in the Kaya Valley who are currently going through the citizenship process. I'll let you know how they get on.

Hang on !

Have I forgotten to return or returned to forget?

Either way I've forgotten what it was I forgot to return.

Oh forget it !

I'll forget about returning later.

That's if I don't forget to forget to return.
