How to stop the Tories

every time bar none since labour first got in after second world war they have messed up the country, and put us all on the slippery slope to a third world country, no one party has all the answers but after 13 years of labour total rule the country is in a worst state than before they started fact,it was nearly the same as when maggie came to power, although boy david not cut from the same cloth as her mores the pity. Only those in the public sector need to really fear this election because who ever gets in cuts will have to be made. Brown's true colours have been shown during this election and it's not a hue I could ever support. Areas that have always voted labour in the past have got to ask themselves if their area under labour has impoved, more proper jobs for people, safer streets better chances for the kids to get on in education. We need to make things in britain that we can buy with pride. the reason why no one has stated how many jobs and salary /benefit cuts are to be made as turkeys don't vote for christmas.I see a summer of stikes etc, just hope the leaders will take the bull by the horns.

We USED to make things in the UK - we had a massive manufacturing industry. It was DESTROYED under the CONSERVATIVE PARTY.

INTEREST RATES of 15% plus BANKRUPTED businesses - under the CONSERVATIVE PARTY.

HOSPITALS were CLOSED under the CONSERVATIVE PARTY

The FINANCIAL sector was DEREGULATED under the CONSERVATIVE PARTY - remember BLACK MONDAY 1987 when the stock markets CRASHED -

There went our PENSION FUNDS here are the ROOTS of this ECONOMIC CRISIS

Remember PENSION MIS-SELLING and ENDOWMENT MORTGAGES MIS-SELLING under the CONSERVATIVE PARTY

MILLIONS UNEMPLOYED under the CONSERVATIVE PARTY

You are young, my son, and, as the years go by, time will change and even reverse many of your present opinions. Refrain therefore awhile from setting yourself up as a judge of the highest matters.

Nichola, google Winter of Discontent 78-79 and see what the tories took over when they came to power.

You would not have thought it could have got any worse, but Maggie managed it.

Business leaders reject hung Parliament scare story.

An attempt to get business leaders to sign up to the campaign to scare voters by saying that the sky would fall in if there was not a clear winner (i.e. the Tories) from the vote tomorrow failed because there was not enough support for this daft threat. Instead the boss of a 'well known company' said "perhaps Simon Cowell will swing it for the Tories". Oh dear. Fortunately it is the electorate who decide this - not the lovely Simon. So let's make sure we do what the title of this thread proclaims.
