KTHY Flights suspended

I know this is just horrible :(i have just booked with flythomascook as I really dont trust the situation anymore I guess my only saving grace is that mine was booked with kthy for a one way trip only.Im calling our credit card company tomorrow and see what they have to say.

If the worst does come I think that parents should speak to the school explain the situation and if you can afford to book earlier flights I think schools will be ok in a situation like this

i phoned london head office yesterday and they said to wait until wednesday , im beginning to feel sick now there is 5 of us and to buy new flights now , what do you think is the best thing to do?

I dont know....I have so many flights with these booked for this summer and october...I am looking at shelling out an extra £1300 now for Summer...I cant trust it though....I think I am going to rebook with TC or easyjet, and then if KTHY do come through, then I will pay to change the flights I have booked with TC or EJ to later on in year or next year....its the only option really...(((

I agree with sue re book with someone else because if they do go bust and it is looking that way at least you have a chance of getting in before the prices rocket once an official announcement has been made. when i looked  at gatwicks list of which terminal for which airline kthy has beside it n/a...... and also all operations in cyprus have ceased as of yesterday according to the foreign office there. if a miracle does happen I too will pay the difference and re arrange the thomascook flights i have just bought.

Have a look at this if you have paid KTHY with a CREDIT card.  It could be a glimmer of hope for you

I have flights booked with KTHY for 17th July and like most of you I am really worried now. Thanks for all the advice on here. I am thinking of booking with Thomas Cook. Does anyone know how much it costs to change the flights to a later date with Thomas Cook if KTHY did come through this in the end? Thanks.

Just wanted to add my best wishes to those stuck in this situation - I can't imagine how stressful it is not knowing the best move to make.  You spend so long looking forward to your hols and then this happens -
If you decide to book elsewhere, good luck and hope you find some really good deals.
I always checkout single fairs with people like Monarch, jet2 etc as sometimes you can find a good deal using 2 different airlines - just a thought.

My sister and her partner are due to fly back over on Monday (to birm) they have been trying to get in touch with KTHY since this morning and they cant get through.

Maria if they are in the Fethiye area kthy have an office in paspatur just along from the turkish bath. Good luck it's a bloody nightmare!!
