Some shop keepers/householders banging pots, pans and tim cans just now on BMB. Driver said they were protesting locally otherwise nothing noticeable here.

Herringbone block paving seems to make limitless ammo for the rioters though.
(Just keep removing them as you retreat) Wouldn't fancy being a cop out there  :(

But I'm sure plenty of people continued to visit London when the Croydon and Tottenham
riots occurred - like Istanbul its a big big place.

I found some interesting photo's so I hope this link works . It does show ordinary people clearing up after the demonstrations showing they really do care about their country .

That was wonderful to see and exactly the sort of behaviour that will gain even more support -

I saw these photos earlier, they made me very emotional. Such generosity and spirit.
I'm no football fan, but those pictures really touched me. and the sign offering their home to protesters.
Amazing

Well, I'm leaving in the morning for the long trek back to UKistan but I'd much rather be staying here despite the 'problems'.  :-\

Good luck with the trip Alan, did you find a co-passenger ?

The Turkish - the only nation who 'riot' and tidy up afterwards.

Amazing.
