Taking a Back Seat

I have ponder long and hard about my response because I know full well how important CBF is to scunner. That having been said I still will probably not find the right words.

But as Boris Becker once said after losing in the first round at Wimbledon "nobody died". So here goes.....

Firstly then, from the CBF Forum stand point.........

It's incumbent on us, the members of this wonderful Forum (and that means all of us), to ensure that it is kept alive. As scunner said "use it or loss it". Using it from here on in is surely the biggest compliment, and thank you we can pay it's founder and most devoted servant. I am fortunate to have many "friends" on Facebook but it is a measure of this Forum that many, many of these friendships have been forged through CBF.

From a personal point of view.......

Brenda and I wish Keith, our dear, dear friend, everything that he (and his lovely family) wish for themselves from the latest chapter in their lives.

Wishing you all the very best Scunner, I am intrigued what your next venture will be, (or just plain nosey.  :       

There is no great secret about what I am to do - it's just a bit boring when you write it down (not for me, for others - like that moment at a party when you ask someone what they do and they reply that they are an accountant - and the music stops etc - apologies to all the CBF accountants out there!!)

I am not really an estate agent, or a forum administrator, or even a website designer. Before all that I was something loosely described as a corrosion engineer. My last task before moving to Turkey in 2004 was to ensure the new Wembley Stadium wouldn't rust in it's first 10 years. Hey, I can now say it didn't       

So after 10 years living in the sun and the like, someone realised that these days I don't live down Wembley way these days, I live just down the road from one of the biggest corrosion affected industries there is - the Offshore Oil & Gas industry in Aberdeen and surrounds. They seduced me with cash and a car, and I couldn't possibly say no.

Good luck Keith, it's going to be weird, you're part of our lives every day and have been for many years.
Facebook has taken over the internet and I'm guilty of posting there first on many occasions.
I promise to try and CBF more often. Like you say, use it or lose it. It's up to us to keep CBF going x

 Keith, what you don't know is having stumbled on this forum 4 years ago, started a love affair for my wife and I with Calis, and whilst I don't put too many post up I'm an avid reader of all the comments put on here, and armed with all this info and humour we will have our little place in the sun one day, a massive thanks to you and your family,  good luck in your new venture

Keith that job sounds a fabulous opportunity. Does it mean that you'll be back in touch with my old outfit at Akzo. Since you left that field they've grown so much by acquisition that there's hardly a paint company that they don't own. Absolute best of luck with it
