So if/when there is a terrorist attack on British soil what will you say then? Just curious.
As someone who lives in the U.K. I would say I would be very sad. Very sad as I was during the troubles when I visited family in N.Ireland and saw the misery first hand and witnessed all the security checks, had my handbag check in all the shops and all the pubs and restaurants, also witnessed first hand, the bomb alerts in Belfast, even to rushing back to our car and hearing a bomb going off, had friends in the Police Force and saw our Security Services working hard and felt the pain of the people living in N.Ireland of never feeling completely safe, but, I knew the Security Services were doing their very best, but nothing is 100% infallible. Having experience this for years I would hate to see this situation coming to the mainland, but I feel in some way it may be coming and sooner than we think.
I would hope there would be no incidents in the U.K. However, I know the British Security Services are again working hard for us to stop any incidents and they would be no matter who was in Government. This is not an argument about who is in power in the U.K. It is about our security services who do not care about politics they care about saving British lives.
What would you feel living and working abroad all these years and away from it all ?
