Let's do everything we can ..... or nothing and pray we are not in the wrong place at the wrong time.
No don't do either. Both would be ridiculous. 1,700 people a year in the UK die in traffic accidents. How about having someone  with a red flag walk in front in all motorized vehicles. Sod the cost and inconvenience: think of all those lives saved!

Belgium's Intelligence and other services appear to be an utter shambles, and Cameron is trying to tell us we will be safer in the EU.!!

Belgium suffers badly from a North / South divide, language differences and security forces that refuse to share information with each other. Apart from that it's a splendid country.

Agreed, we love to visit Bruge and Ostend, but Belgium has for years been ruled by weak governments, the services refuse to

share information with each other, the government, and other countries. There is a lot of talk about French intelligence failings

and god forbid Italy's services being needed. The UK, US, and Israel probably have the best Counter Intelligence services in the

world so I think Cameron's claims on the EU ring hollow.

It is physically impossible to provide security to all public place. Where would we stop putting airport type security - we we have in every shopping mall in the country, every sports stadium, every Ikea, every church.......

Ans supposing we succeeded in making every international airprot, rail terminal and ferry terminal in the land do people seriously believe that the terrorist threat would have disappeared. It may well have been lessen that those points but the fanatics would simply find softer targets.

How could we have prevented the Omagh bomb.

But it's not me not being silly - I am talking about nail bombs and chemicals that can be bought anywhere.

You are struggling with this one Stoop :D

If ISIL could not get hold of weapons in the Middle East, they wouldn't have people in Europe using nail bombs. Because, they wouldn't have managed to achieve any status or notoriety.

If that's the case, then be very afraid:

I would suggest that Assad knew where they were just before Syria used them on the citizens he does not agree with!!

The atrocity in Lahore tragically illustrates the point :( :( :(

You think they would have stopped killing without guns?

It's the hate preachers who brain wash and recruit.
