It is in the old town at the top of the Hill.  They will not usually let vehicles into the old town, but this Hotel has a taxi service that will bring you to the door.

As it happens it's probably out of my price range in any event.

We stayed in the Grand Hotel years ago but it's even more expensive. Fabulous place.

The Grand Master Suite has a wonderful bedroom with a door to a veranda that looks right out across to the water and the cruise ships.  It has a table and chairs out there and is total private and not overlooked.  It is fabulous.  The breakfast terrace is lovely and breakfast is to die for.

It is owned by two fashion designers from Athens, they designed for Sophie Loren, Jacqui Kennedy etc., There is a boutique under the Hotel that has images of them with famous woman.
We were lucky to meet one of the designers, who was over from Athens.  He was a charming man.

Jacqui - Thanks - I had already looked at the website and as I said the basic room is not within my price range far less the Grand Master Suite, sadly  .

Just south of £ 200 a night to lay my head on a pillow doesn't appeal I'm afraid, sorry

We stayed here on the spur of the moment once when we decided to stay over in Rhodes, it was small, but lovely, with a great breakfast. Much later we we were amazed to see on TV that Michael Palin,stayed there on his round the world travels.
