After much deliberation we have decided to go with Team Joseoh. Bumped into their convoy on Coca Calis who said it was the best, safest, most fun trip they had been on. I'll give our verdict once we've done it. Website says fully insured and ISO compliance so feel better doing but of dudillageniemce on it.

Ersah, who owns/runs Team Joseph, is a friend of ours and I know how seriously he takes the whole safety issue, hence the certifications he has taken the trouble to obtain.

We actually bought our Land Rover off him - less of the 'manky old', JohnF!  ;D - he was originally going to run a fleet of those instead but was aware of the bad rep many companies who use them for tours have. We've seen all the paperwork/receipts for the work he had done to bring it up to standard and t'other half used to work on the Landy we had in the UK so he knows what he's looking at mechanically.... We got a bloody good vehicle!

I'm sure Ersah has insisted on the same standards with the new truck and I hope you have a fantastic day out with him.   :)

This is his website - email & phone number are on there and you can see the route etc.   :)

By the way, for those who like the idea of a jeep safari but not the water fights/rowdier elements, some friends of ours have done 'The Alternative Jeep Safari' a couple of times and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a much more civilised expedition  ;D and goes up to the lake/plateau outside Fethiye (can't for the life of me remember what it's called right at this moment), with lunch at a traditional Turkish family farm. They've had a great day each time.

I think they booked with Ali Baba, not sure who else does that one.

Believe me, going back fifteen or so years, many of the Landrovers that used to do the tours and safaris were actually "manky" at best.  From old bus seats in the back held in with pop riveted aluminium patches to tyres that a rookie traffic cop could ticket at sixty yards...  it's no wonder there were so many deaths and injuries back then.

That's the one. Now, if you could just remind me what I went upstairs for a few minutes ago, that would be great.  ;D
