Well my wife and I are 61 and have a daughter now aged 29.
If my daughter at the age of 15 and still legally a child being below the age of consent, was being hassled for sex in a holiday area, I would be bloody furious!!!
What are the male youngsters thinking of these days!!
Certainly not commitment or responsibility, thats for sure.
I can remember sowing my wild oats when younger but paedophilia I would baulk at!!
We wish you all the best and thought it was a very sad post as  parents

Hi telsoo,
while I agree with you in part, I, personally, think your reference to 'paedophilia' somewhat misplaced.  Our youngters may seem to mature much sooner than we ever did, and it's a fact that under age sex does take place, however, I read the post to be more a case of hot blooded young Turks chasing after pretty young tourists, in the age old tradition, a far cry from 'paedophilia' which in my book, is a different thing entirely!!

Yes I was rather extreme in the paedo connection but surely they would have the sense to double check a girls age before landing themselves in legal trouble.I know we humans all enjoy sex but forcing oneself on a 15 yr old is pretty disgusting.
Clearly it bothers Laike hence her attitude

telsoo, I understand what you are saying, and I'm happy that young Laike is a sensible girl, but I doubt age of consent is uppermost on young blokes minds in holiday resorts! I imagine it's a bit like being a kid in a candy store for a good many of them. Not helped in Turkey with it being a muslim country and their own fair maidens being off limits, so seeing so many pretty girls, sometimes showing way more than an ankle, and looking much older than their years, is too big a temptation for a lot of them. We just have to hope that the girls are sensible and strong willed.

Why does it appear that when it happens in Turkey it is considered "paedo" activity but when spotty 15 year mothers are wheeled out on the the likes of The Jeremy Kyle Show, it is not?

Interesting topic. Have a read of this - it appears the legal age of consent in Turkey is actually 15 so the Turkish guys would not think they are doing anything wrong. I believe Spain is actually only 13!

The law is the law but unfortunatley it's a different law in different countries and that makes it so difficult for us to understand when we see young girls being targeted by foreign men.

Spot on Scunner. It is also interesting how the parents of those unfortunate kids also look everywhere but within for the reasons they got in trouble? There is a lot of truth in what Carlan says?

has no one tried Pine Hill Hotel?? Its great! After a well priced meal of lovley quality from an exensive menu you can either sit by the night lit pool and have several cold beers or join in its Reef Bar entertainment till dawn! Great for mums and dads who have teenage kids who wanna night out without mum and dad watching too closley. All safe and all happy. Me and my hubby are a bit passed dancing on the bar now but we can relax while our boys boogie the night away within our sneaky sights!
