A new place,Kekik Ev,almost opposite Alo 24  , opens lunch time only, 11.00am - 4.00 pm. Small selection of home style food, superbly cooked and cheap. Very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended . I went with a Turkish friend who thought white beans as good as his mothers. Praise indeed!

Slightly off topic I know, but is the Olu Deniz Lokanta the one by the Otogar in Fethiye and isn't it a guest house as well?

At the top of the family favourites for our whole holiday was the Sahil Lokanta next to Migros. We had lunch there on day 1 and dinner before heading to Dalaman for our flight home. Absolutely fabulous, as agreed by all four of us. It's fantastic that you can have all the fancy menus and flash restaurants but also at the economy end of the scale have places like Sahil where the food is traditional, wholesome and still amazing value for money.

Thanks Nichola,I have had a problem with my transfer company (via Thomas Cook) who wouldn't drop my daughter at the Otogar despite doing this in the past. I needed a hotel name that was near by and this was the only one I could come up with. I will now worry that they will cart her off to Olu Deniz instead!I couldn't remember the name of the Blue Hotel by the canal almost opposite so hopefully this wil be ok
