Are these the same McCanns who along with their friends refused to return to Portugal to help the police with their enquiries?

I feel so sorry for the McCanns and also for the family of Ben Needham who would have been 21 years old this week.  No matter the rights and wrongs, these people have lost a child and I cannot begin to comprehend the pain they must feel. I think the agony must be just not knowing.

I have signed the petition.  My heart goes out to them.  Not knowing what has happened will torture them always. I have only compassion and great sadness for them.  I hope and pray that one day Madeleine will be found alive, but I fear she will never be found.

Signed here as well. I cannot understand why anyone wouldn't but each to their own I guess.

As for them not going back to Portugal for questioning - I think if the Portuguese police had anything on them then they would have produced the evidence by now. I also seem to remember both of them have actually been back in the country since.

The hurt and distress that the Mcanns must feel must be heightened by the fact that they are the ones who left the poor child alone in the apartment whilst they met friends for drinks and dinner. Choose how you care to dress this up, if they had done this in the UK, they would/ should have been prosecuted by social services. I hope that one day the little girl is found but I cant lose sight of the reason she is missing eg. absentee parents, when she should have been safe and sound in their care.
