The kargi Museum at Kargi. Great breakfast and lovely surroundings. The best one is Kirk Pinar but a long drive. The best one used to be Suat 1881 one but since it changed hands I dont know now. The Yoruk tents on Calis seafront also good but beware of getting ripped off for drinks.

Ann - I've been to Suarts a few times and it was good but I'm aware that it has since changed hands. I'd heard that the Kargi museum breakfast was one of the best nowadays. Can anyone provide directions coming from Fethiye please ...  :)

Agree with Mercury, the Kargi museum breakfast is a must do, and I think we all know about the Yoruk rip off.

Kirk Pinar, past Niff on the Denizli road always was good.  I haven't been there lately though.

A breakdast too far, methinks Lynne, more like a candidate for Bed & Breakfast :P ;).

Directions to Kargi Muze.

Assuming you are coming from Calis - drive to Ciflik and drive all the way through on the main road until you leave Ciflik. There is a sign to mark this point.

Almost immediately take the first right I think and as a landmark to check as you turn right on the left hand side there is a sort of pinkish building. I think there may also a small home made sign at this junction too saying muze.

Anyway continue along this road - do not turn off do not pass go and eventually you will come to it on the right hand side.

Definitly worth a visit - our favourite restauarant for breakfast.

it's a bit of a drive - you'll come to a canal/stream along the way which you'll follow - maybe about 10 - 15 minutes.

Very well worth the visit - we love it and won't go anywhere else for Turkish breakfast now.

I think its 15TL per person and if you want more or something just ask. The bread is home made village bread, they have their own hens for the eggs and the jams are also home made.

They often have local honey, olive oil and pomegranate juice and their jams for sale.

And they regularly (not always) give away bags of lemons or apples, what ever is in season when you leave.

The owner is a bit of a character and videos of his appearances on Turkish TV or his donkeys wedding will be running in the background!

Another vote for Kirk Pinar - there is nothing like it for Turkish breakfast - that's where the Turks go! We have left sunny Calis to have their breakfast in the snow - fresh bread cooked right there, it is a wonderful experience.
