I will attend meeting and have the question on announcements via tannoys all around. I remember a petition was done a couple of years ago asking could they be announced in English as well . I understand that they often call for blood donors of unusual blood groups but we do not understand the call for it but would have more chance of someone having the blood group they require.
My husband would like to know why there is a two tier pricing structure on certain things e.g. fishing license. Foreigner 150tl yr and Turkish 15tl year. 

I am going to raise the tannoy announcements myself at the meeting, but from a different tack.  I am going to suggest that the announcement is documented and e-mailed in english to everyone who signs up for the service on a council web page.  I should think near 100% of foreigners use e-mail (and check it regularly).

A bit late I know .......... and maybe not one the Mayor can answer ......

What will be the situation regarding connecting the household drains to the recently installed sewers ?
Will this become compulsory for all streets where sewers have been installed ?
Will there be a standard cost and will there be a list of Belediye approved contractors ?

To be honest I have a whole heap of questions regarding this - but ANY clarification would be good.

Can we please all keep in mind that subjects such as fishing licences, residency fees/rules and flytipping laws etc are not things that usually fall under the responsibility of a standard town council though....

Hotels and restaurants scattering rubbish around bins is not fly-tipping.  However, if there was a council dump, which, I would think is within the remit of the local council, perhaps there would not be so much fly tipping.

I am not saying residency rules are the responsibility of the local town council, but it is very hard indeed for one to be responsible for making sure we don't exceed our dates on visas but this is a hard task to do when no one is sure what those rules are in the first place...

I reallh wanted to attend,but i,m not feeling well this week, caught a chill. The question I wanted to ask, was if there are any plans to reinstate the dolmus/bus service on the top road at Ovacik. For those of us without our own transport, dragging your shopping up from bottom road isn,t much fun. Will I still be able to get the question answered?

No I'm afraid not but he has indicated that if he gets re-elected, he will hold these meetings on a regular basis so we can make sure he carries out his promises. I thought he came across very well at the meeting, I for one wish him the very best in the election
