Oh my!!  There certainly are a lot of changes taking place.  I just hope it's not going to spoil everything that we love about the place.     :o :(

A walk over the wooden bridge yesterday tea time was quite an ordeal ..... Lots of heavy plant and so much mud!

Still we managed a sunset walk along the prom.

The river is so much wider at the bridge now, it looks odd. Mixed feelings as you tend to like things to stay as you discover them and also concerns about the wildlife habitat.

Hello everyone. I've been following so many posts with interest lately. Seems so many changes are taking place around Calis and likewise, not sure if this is good or bad. Must admit, we loved the wildness of the Canal and will miss all the reeds.

We own a Villa in Lissa Links, so very interested in the progress on the roadworks at that end of town, and any news on the final stretch of the Prom from the new mini fisherman's marina pass the Devlett hospital to Anna's Bar.

Any pics?

Thanks

The otters will go home to Otterburn (Northumberland) and the Kingfishers will probably head for the fish market ( Fethiye).  ;)  :)

Shame, taking the water Dolmus through the reeds watching the Kingfishers gone forever? It wont be the same but if it really does improve the drainage then suppose it will help, but, all the wildlife that lived on mosquitos and other nasties that breed in slow moving water will go with the reeds??

Widen, it, dredge it, but rebuild the habitat would be better!

I assumed the left hand side (leaving Calis) reeds would remain, what with this being the 'bird sanctuary'. I haven't seen or heard anything that proves that wrong. Yet.

Are there any plans to join the two proms so that you can walk all the way to Fethiye?
